One of the first blog’s i saw that i thought was well designed was, Circle Six’s. The choice to use the lighter blue with the orange really works well in helping grab your attention. The simple use of graphics and 2 column structure work well for organizing the information contained in the blog. This is one of the simpler designs i like, while most the others i enjoyed off this site were really complex.
Unlike the last blog i liked this blog contains a lot more visuals. Although the website says the visuals prevail over the content, i disagree. The content being boxed in helps me separate that from the visuals, while the colors in the content boxs help me relate it back to the visuals. The content and visuals work well for me as do the color choices, but the only thing bothering me is the simple align left right rag typography. -I also enjoyed how Cabana and Reflections layed out there blogs. Cabana has everything centered in some sort of object, while Reflections has a strong navigation set up that works well with there header picture.
