The site looks nice and the flash works pretty well. The site also shows off the guys work pretty well with an easy to ude navigation for the section. The main navigation is a little tricky and without the hand pointing it out when you first visit the page, i would have npt been able to locate it. There is also no link back to the main page, although it really is not needed. I would have liked a little more information about what inspired the paintings because without that they dont make much sense to a random person looking at them.

The flash used in the header complements the rather simple layout of the site. Although not a lot of flash is used, the simple use of it just in the header works. The website is not all flash which helps it load a lot quicker.  The navigation is easy to locate and simple to use, like it should be. The simple use of roll overs on the nav helps add a little style to the nav menu. In all everything is laid out in a way that is easy to find and navigate, making it a strong, well designed site.

Banksy’s Website

Banksy’s images are so strong i think it would be hard for him to have a bad designed website. The site has the feel of a graffiti artist, which represents him extremely well. The navigation, although it has no hover, is easy to use and works well with how the rest of the site is designed and layout. I wish you could choose which piece of his work you wanted to  look at rather then having to look at each one.  Implementing jquery or flash into his site would have fixed this problem for me, giving you more of a choice in which piece of art you are looking at. The site is very plain, but it complements his complicated work.

Asaf Hanuka

Asaf, Tomers brother, website is designed a little better then his brothers. His portfolio portion of his website is a lot easier to navigate with the use of thumbs. He also gives you a little insight into what the project was for , making it easier to understand his work. Again this site is mostly all about the work, having a white background. The navigation is also pretty hard to find because it is so small and has no style to it. Asaf’s site is designed alot better and easier to navigate then that of his brother Tomer. (see last post for Tomer Hanuka)

Tomer Hanuka

Tomers website is very simple, because he wants it to be all  about his work.  The work he does is a little bizzare  at sometimes, but is designed extremely well. He could of used something like jquery so you don’t have to scroll across all of his work. The navigation is also not called out enough, making it hard to find and navigate the site. If jquery or flash were brought into this site, viewing his work would be easier and look a lot nicer.

Portfolio of Imar Krige

This site is very simple, but it works. Not having any images to to break up the post makes it really long, but he breaks it up by including an image at top of everyone of his posts. I wish the background was not all white and had some color to complement something else on the website. His graphic design elements are designed well and brings some color into the rather colorless site.

North x East

First off, the text that links to the posts is extremely to large. In all the website is repetitive and has a boring layout. The navigation also has no really style to it. In all North X East is a boring layout with nothing to bring a little jazz to the site. The simple color choice is one of the only things i liked about the page. The green and orange complement each other well.

Web Designer Wall

The layout of the site is pretty easy to navigate and is well integrated with there design choice. This site also has a lot of information that is very helpful when you are trying to figure different things out. The navigation roll over is also done very well. I was not expecting anything to happen, but the hand writing that comes above them when you hover works well with the overall design. The piece of paper stapled to the page on the right works well with the animated hover also. In all the website is deigned pretty well with a simple use of graphics.

Fellow Classmates Blog Crits

Crumbling Expanse – The simplicity of the site works pretty well I just wish there was some more. With all the white space some areas feel empty. A little more color could have been brought in also to liven up the page. The Edward gorey post works well with the theme of the page, so I think he should keep all images black and white to go along with his theme.

AI back in Philly

Philadelphia welcomed back Allen Iverson for the first time tonight since he was traded away to Denver (which was one of the dumbest things they could have done). I work alot of sixers games and no one shows up, one becuase they usually suck and two becuase they have no real stand out players on the team (arguments could be made about the other AI and miller but will they win a championship-NO).
